Coach and Bodybuilder, Miranda Defler

Some people have enthusiasm, and then there's oozing passion- that's Miranda Defler. Miranda is the definition of energy. She has a care and concern for what she's doing at that exact moment that is rare in today's day and age with all of our modern distractions.

To date, Miranda Defler has been a multi-time guest on The Weight Room appearing in episode 219 and episode 274.

On her first episode which she came in the studio for, she shared her journey into fitness, getting into bodybuilding, and she talked about the qualities that are important for a bodybuilder. These qualities include being consistent and being persistent. Although they are similar they are different. Consistency being the ability to do something every single time as required, and persistence being the ability to overcome obstacles to get done what you need to get done. We also talk about the importance of emotional intelligence and control, especially in a sport where you are putting your emotions to the test during prep when you push yourself far outside your comfort zone. She shares a ton of great stories about her life and journey as an athlete.

On her second episode, EP274, we chatted virtually but the passion remained the same. It felt as if she was still sitting next to me. During this episode we talked more in depth about her coaching business and how things were going. She had just attended a coaching seminar and shared her experience getting uncomfortable. We then talked about handling different client situations, the on-boarding process, motivating clients and much more. Episode 274 was a great listen for coaches and trainers but also for athletes to get a peak behind the scenes into what a coach goes through.

There are plenty more episodes to come with Miranda and I cannot wait to record and share them.

Miranda is also a member of The Coaches Corner here on The Weight Room which is a great place to find your next coach or personal trainer so if you're in need check her out!
